My WORK AS AN AUTHOR

My Books

My whole life I’ve sensed connection is the key to wellbeing. Now, in my second half of life, I know it and so devote my life (work, play, and every day) to cultivating and sustaining beautiful, meaningful, and yes sometimes messy and painful because it’s how we’re made, connections for myself and others. My work on human flourishing through connection takes place in the therapy office, classroom, on the page, in my home, and infuses all I do and am.

Let's Keep Talking

a collection of original Lacanian case studies of young people today as they struggle with their own modern existential dilemmas of sex and love, life and death. The context, background, and forms of expression may be contemporary, but the clients' problems, structures, and existential dilemmas are quite classic.

Lacan and Addiction

This anthology is for people interested in the topic of addictions, or in Lacanian psychoanalysis, and especially for those interested in how the two intersect. Lacan and Addiction is based on papers presented at a 2006 conference where Lacanians from around the world gathered to speak about addictions.

Reading Lacan's Ecrits

The Écrits was Jacques Lacan’s single most important text, a landmark in psychoanalysis which epitomized his aim of returning to Freud via structural linguistics, philosophy and literature. Reading Lacan’s Écrits is the first extensive set of commentaries on the complete edition of Lacan’s Écrits to be published in English.
